Linda’s Heart:
A Newsletter for WritersReview by Mary Rosenblum
Linda George, writing instructor and writer, publishes an excellent and useful newsletter titled ‘Linda’s Heart’. She tells us: This newsletter may be FREELY distributed to friends, discussion lists, and writing groups, as long as the ENTIRE ISSUE is included. I will
appreciate your sharing this issue with family and friends.
It’s worth it! She includes a homey mix of personal news and congratulations, as well as mention of new writing contests she has discovered, and upcoming conferences that might be of interest to her subscribers.
She also includes some excellent writing tips. In her latest issue, the March issue, for example, she offers advice to those of you who really aren’t sure what ‘clips’ and ‘writing samples’ mean in those magazine guidelines. She does a very nice job of making the definitions clear, and of offering tips for how to deal with these requirements.
I highly recommend this newsletter for its relaxed and personal voice, as well as the excellent information provided. You’ll feel as if you’ve just receive a letter from a good friend. Nice newsletter, Linda! Please keep sending it to me!
