by

 Sherri Szeman

Published by Writer's Digest Books, an imprint of F&W Publications, Inc.,1507 Dana Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45207  (List Price $ 16.99)

In this book the author explains six basic points of view: First Person, Second Person, Outer Limited, Inner Limited, Unlimited, and Combo. She shows how to tastefully manage point of view in erotic and violent scenes, how to overcome writer's block by playing with different points of view, and how to determine which point of view is best for your characters and their stories. She also talks about creating challenging perspectives and experimenting with point of view, and about using multiple points of view.

An "Historical Overview and Development of Point of View in Literary Fiction" in the appendix is also interesting.
