The Krikit’s Chirp: Newsletter for Writers par excellence!
Reviewed by Mary Rosenblum, LR Web Editor
For too long, I have been intending to get this review up onto the site! Krikit’s Chirp is an excellent newsletters for Long Ridge students and writers alike, full of interesting articles on a variety of writerly topic, a grammar topic and a brief quiz that will sharpen your word skills (thank you, Elsie Thorn). Here’s a brief overview of the August issue. I’ll let Krikit describe it in her own words:

By Krikit
The time has come for another spectacular issue of The Krikit’s Chirp.
Becky Crum inspires us in her column while Elsie Thorn (Emmy) educates us in hers.
We continue to slog through the sensuous poetry provided by John Raschke during the Krikit’s Chirp Writer of 2002 Contest. John’s overwhelming number of entries won him the title late in the contest.
In this issue, we have our final installment of Wedding Woes by Nicole Archer, a heart touching poem by Lisa Guffey, and more tips, this time for the car, from Charleen Micheles-Scott.

That’s only a brief overview. Every issue of the Chirp includes a Question of the Month , answered by Emmy in each issue, Tips on This and That, Useful Info, and Guidelines for submissions to the newsletter. It’s a great read, and it’s FREE! You can’t beat that!
