Wax Romantic is open for submissions. While we are not yet able to pay a lot for stories and articles, we expect the amount we do pay to rise proportionate to the growth of the magazine. We are now accepting submissions in the following areas:

 

SHORT FICTION
Short romance fiction in all related romance sub-genres. Stories must be fully developed, complete with a beginning, middle, and end including a "happily-ever-after" for your hero and heroine.

4,000 to 5,000 words / pays $0.01 per word

WRITING ROMANCE: CRAFT & NETWORKING
Articles that pertain to the craft and/or business of writing romance fiction and articles on networking for authors.
2,000 to 2,500 words / pays $0.01 per word

A READERS LIFE
Essays on The (Romance) Reading Life.
4,000 to 5,000 words / pays $0.01 per word

 

Rights: we buy first world electronic rights, non-exclusive world electronic archival rights, and permission to use excerpts from purchased works in advertising copy for the purpose of promoting Wax Romantic.

Payment:  We pay $0.01 per word for articles, short stories, and essays within 45 days after execution of contract.

How To Submit: Wax Romantic accepts submissions via email only. One article, essay, or short story per email. Submissions should be pasted into the body of an email, and sent to submissions@waxromantic.com

Format: Submissions must be authors original, unpublished work, and should be single spaced, with one blank line separating each paragraph, and no first line of paragraph indentation.

Include your name, address, and email address, plus the area your submission is targeting, and the total word count at the top of your submission. PLEASE NOTE: We do not accept HTML.
